Job Summary
Responsibilities include planning, developing, and implementing a diverse range of activities (arts and crafts, entertainment, exercise classes, social events); collaborating with interdisciplinary team to align activities with residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs; conducting needs assessments and surveys; organizing and leading activities ensuring safety and enjoyment; developing partnerships with local organizations to secure resources; monitoring and evaluating activity effectiveness; preparing and managing the activities budget. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred), at least 1 year of experience in a senior living setting, strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and familiarity with adult learning principles and theories of aging.
