Job Summary
Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate individual and group activities to meet the physical, intellectual, and social needs of approximately 40 residents at Holy Cross House. Participate in developing each resident's care plan and create opportunities that enhance daily life, encourage participation, and foster a strong sense of community. Oversee activity programming to ensure alignment with residents' interests while recruiting, onboarding, assigning, and scheduling volunteers to support resident engagement. Track volunteer service hours and accommodate evening and weekend events as needed within a Monday through Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- 3+ years of related experience
- Recreational therapy or occupational therapy assistant degree from an accredited college or university
- Certification by the National Council for Activity Professionals
- Experience working with a geriatric population
- Full-time recreation position
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend events
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with a geriatric population is strongly preferred
