Job Summary
Director of Activities oversees planning, development, and execution of the Activities Program for Cedarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center’s Long Term Care unit, ensuring residents’ spiritual, emotional, recreational, and social needs are met. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating programs, coordinating transportation and field trips, maintaining schedules and progress notes, managing a volunteer program, collaborating with nursing and other departments, and ensuring confidentiality and budget adherence. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, drive the facility vehicle, and effective English communication; bachelor’s degree and Activity Director Certification or CTRS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Activity Director Certification or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred
- valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required
- CTR S/ADC/OTR/COTA preferred
