Job Summary
Activities Director role focusing on Montessori-inspired resident programming: design and implement a diverse schedule of activities aligned with Montessori principles, including sensory engagement, practical life skills, and cognitive stimulation; collaborate with caregivers, nursing staff, and families to integrate activities into daily routines; create and post Daily HappYnings and monthly activity calendars, manage community outings, special events, and documentation of participation and outcomes; educate staff on Montessori methods and uphold resident-centered care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in activity planning for seniors, preferably in a dementia care setting
- Certification as a Certified Activity Director (ADC) or equivalent certification preferred, or state-required certification
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Social Work, or related field preferred
