Job Summary
Develop an activities program tailored to residents' interests, needs, and abilities to enhance their wellness and quality of life. Create an activities calendar highlighting scheduled events and outings while establishing and maintaining a volunteer program through recruitment, training, and support. Complete new resident and quarterly assessments to identify resident interests. Facilitate evening and weekend events outside normal business hours as required. Maintain a driver's license with a clean driving record and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and time management skills. Work full shifts including overtime as needed to meet job requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum experience of (1) year in therapeutic recreation and/or senior activities role at a senior living, hospice, in-home health care, or skilled nursing facility
- Must have a driver's license and clean driving record
- Will need to have exceptional problem-solving and time management skills
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed, and with approval
- The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Possess good interpersonal communication skills
