Job Summary
Coordinate resident activities and provide shower aide/personal care to seniors in an assisted living setting. Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive wellness; encourage participation; assist with showers, grooming, dressing and other hygiene needs; escort residents to activities and meals; document participation and report changes to the care team. Maintain confidentiality and a clean, safe environment; participate in training and meetings; support meal service and light housekeeping as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of your onboarding and training
- Ongoing training provided by Executive Director and Oregon Care Partners to ensure highest level of care and adherence to state regulations
- Ability to lift and move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment
- Background investigations and employment eligibility requirements
