Job Summary
Activities Coordinator and Shower Aide role in an Assisted Living/Residential Care Community. Plans, organizes, and leads resident activities to promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive wellness while providing personal care assistance (showering, grooming, dressing) with dignity and respect. Documents resident participation, assists with meals and light housekeeping, and reports changes in residents’ condition to the care team. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience, CPR/First Aid, and Food Handlers cards; Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training; ability to lift or assist with transfers; strong communication and teamwork in a senior-care setting. Location: Roseburg, Oregon (US) with in-person work at the facility; typical shift: Day. Salary range: $17-$20 per hour (annualized to $35,360-$41,600).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Valid CPR and First Aid cards
- Food Handlers card
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required
- Background investigations and employment eligibility requirements
- Basic computer skills
