Job Summary
Plan 14 hours of scheduled activities weekly covering social, recreational, diversion, intellectual, volunteer, and work-type themes for residents. Maintain an updated resident interest list, individualized preferences, and complete assessments on new admissions. Prepare and update a monthly calendar in large print, ensuring one outing is planned monthly. Assist with transportation, manage supply inventory, and create monthly budgets with expense projections. Demonstrate involvement with residents, families, volunteers, and community resources while documenting accidents and incidents. Uphold resident rights, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safety during program execution. Complete required certification within six months or provide proof of oversight by a certified individual.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of the "The Activities Coordinator Program" within six (6) months of employment, or direct supervision and oversight by a person with this certification
- Ability to participate with "on call" with management
- Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Depth perception
- Familiarity with facility policies and procedures
- Knowledge of fire safety plans
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Knowledge of chain-of-command
Desired Qualifications
- PCA/Med Tech/SIC experience
