Job Summary
Plan and facilitate engaging group and individual recreational activities based on each participant's interests, abilities, and goals. Develop and implement person-centered activity programs that promote socialization, independence, and quality of life while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans. Provide guidance to staff on activity implementation strategies and maintain curriculum binders with creative, age-appropriate, and therapeutic materials. Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants while monitoring involvement and documenting activity participation as required. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday day shift with no evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities, including a competitive wage of $18–$20 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Haitian Creole and English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Bilingual in Haitian Creole
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
