Job Summary
Conduct daily wellness interventions, leisure programming, and community group interactions to meet the social and therapeutic needs of residents. Complete assigned portions of the wellness assessment process and provide relevant daily events. Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record to operate assigned vehicles. Requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and First Aid certification. Experience in long-term care is preferred. Full-time role with a robust benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate
- Acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements
- Is a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who--
- Is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing
- Is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990
- Has 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting
- Is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
- Has completed a training course approved by the State
Desired Qualifications
- In good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry
- BLS Certification
- First Aid certification
- Experience in long term care
