Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate recreation programs for residents in a rehab setting; interview residents and family members to involve them in planning; coordinate activities with other departments; develop recreation care plans and assessments; participate in quality assurance and facility surveys; ensure descriptive progress notes; arrange transportation for field trips; support discharge planning and community planning efforts; require strong communication and interpersonal abilities and the physical capability to assist with lifting/movement of residents and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, transfer, or move residents and equipment as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
