Job Summary
The Activity Assistant will create engaging, age-appropriate activities for residents, serving as a caring presence and enabling a joyful, engaging environment. Responsibilities include designing activities suited to various physical and cognitive abilities; building authentic connections with residents and their families; collaborating with the care team to support holistic resident well-being; managing daily schedules and activity prep to balance multiple residents. Requires compassion, accountability, relationships, and excellence, with high school diploma/GED or related experience, plus CNA or state-approved nursing assistant training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
