Job Summary
Plan and provide active and passive group and individual activities that enhance the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents through assessments. Maintain and expand volunteer programs while arranging transportation and escorts for residents to and from outside and community activities. Create interest in activities and motivate residents to participate daily. Requires a passion for helping seniors, effective English communication, creativity, and a valid driver's license. Full-time position with every other weekend schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for helping seniors
- A desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written
- Ability to work every other weekend
- The ability to create interest in the activities and motivate residents to participate daily
- Creativity and motivational skills necessary
- High school diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license in the state of work
