Job Summary
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing activities for residents; contribute ideas to expand the Activities Program; maintain warm, professional relationships with residents and families; arrange transportation and escorts for activities; support volunteer programs; help with the residence store, supplies, and monthly newsletters/weekly calendars; drive residents in a van as needed; work independently and perform dual tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in three years
- Experience in recreational therapy or gerontology preferred (not required)
- Ability to assist in planning and implementing activities
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift and perform physical tasks
