Job Summary
Sunnyside Manor seeks Activities Assistants to enhance the quality of life for elderly residents through recreational activities. Full-time and part-time positions available, involving planning and implementing social and therapeutic activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Eligible to attend a state approved Activity Training Course
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding
- Ability to lift and push 20-50 lbs
- Stay on your feet for 8 hour shifts
- Knowledge in use of computers
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in activities or recreation role, preferably in long-term care or assisted living setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-initiating and flexible
