Activities Assistant

Job Summary
Actively implements life enrichment programs as planned to meet residents' needs and interests; assists residents during meals and activities; maintains rapport with families; completes attendance/participation records; supports residents’ individual needs and preferences; collaborates with Life Enrichment Director and volunteers; participates in long-term care regulatory processes; ensures effective communication within interdisciplinary care teams; promotes socialization and engagement in Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant – 1-year experience preferred
- current chauffeur’s license if operating transportation vehicles and possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if applicable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys socializing, outgoing and friendly personality
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members
