Activities Assistant

Job Summary
Implement life enrichment programs to meet the functional levels, needs, and interests of residents while assisting them to and from activities and outings. Honor individual preferences by communicating requests with the Life Enrichment Director and maintaining rapport with family members to encourage support. Provide ADL assistance during meals and snacks, complete attendance records for individual and group activities, and report resident concerns to the immediate supervisor. Support volunteer programs and participate in long-term care survey processes. Requires a high school diploma, excellent communication skills, and an outgoing personality to foster socialization among residents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current chauffeur's license
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Desired Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred Certified as a Nursing Assistant
- 1-year experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys socializing
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication
- Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members
