Activities Assistant - Skilled Nursing

Job Summary
Organize and implement daily programs that meet residents' psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting self-esteem. Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities according to the schedule, supporting independent pursuits and directing resident abilities based on background, participation needs, physical capabilities, interests, cognitive capacity, and attention span. Interview residents and input information into electronic medical records, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community. Report to the Programming Director and coordinate multiple tasks under pressure. Full-time role requiring Saturday or Sunday availability; hourly pay with access to benefits including 8 holidays, discounted meals, paid training, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- knowledge of aging and disability issues
- Must be able to work either Saturdays or Sundays
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community
- Must show a consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude
- Must work well under pressure
