Job Summary
Activities Assistant at Riverton Rehab supports resident well-being by planning and implementing recreation programs, documenting daily participation, promoting social, physical, and intellectual health, and assisting with event setup and transportation. Responsibilities include developing and implementing recreation activities, participating in community marketing events, communicating resident mood/behavior to the team, and performing related administrative tasks (audits, forms, reports). Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and 18+ years old; experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility is preferred. Shift includes every other weekend; benefits include tuition reimbursement, health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and EAP resources.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Must participate in continuing education and Inservice training.
