Job Summary
Assists the Life Stages Director by developing and implementing activities that address Residents’ mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs, including group and individual formats. Responsible for creating interest, motivating participation, and ensuring daily engagement. Requires effective English communication, ability to flexibly manage multiple tasks, and a valid Maryland driver’s license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED is required; experience in recreational therapy or gerontology is preferred. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K with company match, and other programs. Required Qualifications
- A. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ability to assist in development and implementation of activities; motivate Residents to participate; creativity and motivational skills; good judgment and ethical decisions; time management; effective English communication (oral and written); ability to bend, stretch, stoop and lift.
- B. Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- C. Experience: Previous experience in recreational therapy or related field preferred; Gerontology experience preferred.
- D. Certificates/Licenses: Valid Maryland drivers license with no more than two moving violations in a three-year period as determined by insurance industry standards.
