Job Summary
Plan and conduct individual, small, and large group activities for residents at Ridgeway Post Acute. Assist in developing monthly activity calendars, maintain attendance records, and help coordinate transportation for residents to appointments, outings, or discharge. Support communication among staff, residents, families, and external agencies; assist with discharge planning, activity care plans, and quarterly progress notes. Provide materials (including Braille or audio books) as needed and help create engaging, resident-centered activities while keeping the department clean and secure. Strong team orientation, flexibility, and creativity are essential to deliver joyful, purposeful activities for seniors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare, recreational, or social setting preferred
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient personality
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to be flexible and creative in a dynamic environment
