Activities Assistant

Plan, conduct, and evaluate one-on-one and group activity programs to maintain residents' highest level of functioning. Motivate residents by investigating alternative activities, hobbies, and community interests. Prepare dementia group recreational therapy weekly, ensuring supplies and rooms are ready. Deliver mail, flowers, and items to residents while reading mail upon request. Assist in transporting residents, conducting shopping, and accompanying them to community events. Supervise activities, implement crafts, and award prizes as directed by the Activity Director. Schedule movies, plan parties, and provide games. Maintain competency through testing and follow proper procedures for safety and chart documentation.
