Job Summary
Assist the Activities Director in developing and implementing activities programs for residents, directing and teaching planned activities while visiting residents regularly to encourage participation. Manage various resident needs during these interactions. Work part-time hours with every other weekend required. A high school diploma, valid Virginia driver's license, and preferred Activities Professional license are required. Experience in directing individual and group activities and in long-term care is preferred. Effective communication and understanding of written and verbal instructions are essential. Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Virginia driver's license
- Part time hours with every other weekend required
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed as an Activities Professional is preferred
- Experience in directing individual and group activities is preferred
- Experience in long-term care is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with various types of people
- Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
