Job Summary
Lead daily activities promoting creativity, wellness, socialization, and lifelong learning for residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Plan and teach arts and crafts classes while instructing group fitness programs including chair exercise, balance, and dance. Develop fresh programming ideas, execute diverse community events, and assist with outings. Help decorate spaces for holidays and seasonal celebrations. Encourage resident involvement through one-on-one engagement and collaborate with other departments to foster an inclusive community culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred
- Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred
- Warm, caring, patient, and compassionate
- Naturally creative and full of fresh ideas
- Comfortable teaching arts and crafts to seniors
- Confident leading exercise and wellness classes
- Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Excellent at building relationships with older adults and their families
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
- A team player with a positive attitude and great sense of humor
- Brings energy, imagination, kindness, and heart to work every day
- Genuinely enjoys enriching the lives of older adults
