Job Summary
Activities Assistant at a 120-bed Fayetteville, NC facility within Haymount Rehabilitation & Nursing. Assists in the Activities Department to design and implement resident life enrichment programs, focusing on individual needs and quality of life. Participates in creating group and individualized activity programming, leveraging facility and community resources, and collaborating with residents, families, and staff. Requires creativity, organization, flexibility, and effective communication; knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office/Publisher; background check and pre-employment drug screen; e-Verify used for US employment eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Preferred – Recreational Therapist or completion of NC-approved Activities training course
- Preferred – Minimum one year experience in long term care environment
- Ability to work well with diverse population (residents, families and staff)
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively in designing group and individualized resident activities programs
- Ability to assist with and sometimes plan, organize, prioritize and implement programming
- Demonstrated self-motivation, self-direction and flexibility and ability to problem solve meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Publisher
