Job Summary
Plan and lead engaging group and one-on-one activities for residents, including games, crafts, fitness, music, outings, and special events. Encourage participation by tailoring programs to various physical and cognitive abilities while maintaining accurate attendance records and progress notes. Assist with transportation and supervision for community events, help set up activity spaces, and decorate for holidays and themed programs. Build meaningful relationships with residents through personalized interactions to support their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Collaborate with Life Enrichment Directors, nursing staff, and volunteers to support the overall activity program and provide ideas for new initiatives based on resident interests.
Required Qualifications
- Must work Saturday and/or Sunday
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during activities and events
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including pushing wheelchairs and assisting with mobility
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in recreation, life enrichment, or senior living
- Valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid certification
- willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire
