Job Summary
Conduct on-going programs of activities for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, and mild cognitive impairment under general supervision. Collaborate with Activities Directors and other staff to support community volunteers, scheduled entertainers, and resident visitors. Assist with loading and unloading residents onto the activities bus and lead scheduled events to maintain residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Work a set schedule with a good attitude to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, and the public. Located in Chico, CA, Amber Grove Place offers life-enriching activities daily to enhance the quality of life for its senior community.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Health evaluation to ensure ability to perform job duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, and the general public verbally and in writing
- Good attitude
- Ability to work a set schedule
Desired Qualifications
- High school education preferred, but not required
- Prior Activities experience in senior care or child development preferred, not required
- Enjoy working with seniors and a passion for enriching their lives
