Job Summary
Plan and lead recreational activities, games, events, and outings while encouraging resident participation in group and individual sessions. Escort residents to and from activities as needed, assist with decorating, event setup, and themed activities, and document resident participation and responses. Communicate resident preferences and needs with staff and families, providing companionship and emotional support. This role includes rotating weekend shifts and requires the ability to assist with resident mobility, including pushing wheelchairs. Located in the scenic Catskill Mountains, Roscoe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center offers a resident-centered environment where employees build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference in the lives of residents and their families.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, patient, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to assist with resident mobility, including pushing wheelchairs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior care, or customer service preferred
