Job Summary
Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. Document individual participation and the value of approaches in medical records while assisting the resident activity director. Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation, fostering community through individual and group activities using models like pet, music, and art therapy. Lead and participate in programs for residents confined to rooms, promote volunteer efforts, and assist with facility decoration for special events. Maintain records of activities and attendance, store equipment, and utilize the biopsychosocial model to support well-being. Provide or arrange comfort and support for residents and families when needed.

- Demonstrated willingness to learn new modalities and approaches
- Good listener
- Builds rapport easily
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work with residents/families facing end of life issues
