Job Summary
Greet and welcome all guests, hand out and collect pool towels, and sell cabanas and day beds while maintaining cleanliness and proper setup of pool areas and furniture. Assist the Venue Manager during special events and functions, including the Coconut Club breakfast, by ensuring vendor utilities are available and reviewing set-ups for accuracy. Provide attentive service to resolve guest requests, manage weather advisories for pool equipment, and support cultural activities or live music events. Monitor weather conditions, sweep excessive water, and perform other duties as requested by management to ensure overall guest satisfaction and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be proficient with computers and POS systems
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Must be effective at listening to guests needs, wants, and concerns
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Beach Candy and events at hotel
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag
- Must comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient retail operations
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Must be detail oriented, able to manage high volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required including weekends and evenings
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years retail/hospitality experience preferred
