Job Summary
Plan, implement and evaluate activation programs for residents (individual and group), set up and transport residents to activities, monitor behavior during programs, maintain records, and collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs. Requires a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or related field (or enrollment with completion within 3 years); strong written/verbal communication, program planning/evaluation experience, ability to work independently with good time management, and experience with geriatric residents, including those with cognitive impairments; must complete a negative vulnerable sector check and a TB skin test within specified timelines. Casual role with days and evenings, located in Lucknow, Ontario; in-person work with no relocation indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university or enrolled in same required. If enrolled, must complete program within 3 years of hire date.
