Job Summary
Lead the Learning Support team for Years 7-12 by conducting regular performance reviews, managing departmental budgets, and coordinating professional development. Drive strategic use of standardized assessments to identify student needs, oversee data collection for academic and behavioral progress, and maintain comprehensive student files. Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external providers like psychologists and speech pathologists to design in-class interventions and Individual Plans. Oversee the implementation of evidence-based programs such as MacqLit, manage learning resources, and coordinate disability provisions for NAPLAN and HSC examinations. Ensure all initiatives align with NSW Curriculum standards and relevant legislation.
Required Qualifications
- Australian Citizen/Resident or have a current Australian work visa
- NSW Working With Children Check Number
- learning support experience
- outstanding communication skills

- Proficient with IT systems, such as Google Suite
- a keen interest in pedagogy
- An empathy and support with the Jewish School ethos is essential
