Job Summary
The ACT Clinician delivers clinical insight and education to patients and caregivers on home respiratory equipment use, conducts NIV setups and home visits, performs NIV follow-ups, and participates in on-call coverage. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating with physicians and other clinicians, maintaining knowledge of DASCO equipment and services, explaining insurance coverage and patient costs, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and state boards. The role requires staying current with licensure/certification CEU requirements, working in both office and clinical/home settings, and frequent travel for patient care and continuing education. Strong communication, empathy, patient focus, and stress management are essential, as is the ability to create and oversee care plans and support overall care continuum.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Professional licensure or certification (Certified, Registered or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse)
- Six months’ experience in a clinical services role
