Job Summary
Lead daily team operations, provide treatment oversight, and offer clinical supervision and guidance in collaboration with the psychiatric provider. Supervise, hire, train, and manage staff performance to align with agency values, while monitoring client census, referrals, and care transitions. Facilitate team meetings to promote collaboration and oversee client records for progress tracking and regulatory compliance. Assess and monitor mental health needs, including completing diagnostic assessments, updating treatment plans, and providing direct care/individual therapy services in a community-based setting as needed. Collaborate with other service providers and natural supports, ensuring clear communication and coordination of services. Participate in professional development activities and continuing education, particularly in youth and adolescent mental health. Provide supervision as required by licensure and team needs. Lead initiatives to promote diversity, respect, and cultural competence in the workplace. Perform other duties as needed to support client care and department operations. This position primarily works in the field, requiring transporting clients in a personal vehicle regularly and traveling to other program sites. Availability for 24/7 on-call crisis support on a rotating schedule is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in the state of Minnesota OR the ability to become fully/Independently licensed within three months of the date of hire
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatments for Adolescents with Severe Mental Health Diagnoses, particularly psychotic disorders and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Familiarity with community resources, county benefits, and mental health services
- Understanding of laws, statutes, policies, and requirements affecting services
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Strong rapport-building, assessment, and crisis intervention skills, including de-escalation and connecting clients to higher levels of care
- Proficient clinical judgment, particularly with youth and adolescents, to make decisions and provide direction to the team
- Independent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Skilled in identifying early signs of psychosis and managing symptoms using therapeutic approaches
- Capable of managing workload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to adapt to and lead change and develop new approaches to meet client needs
- Skill in providing constructive feedback and recognizing staff contributions for growth
- Must possess a valid Class 'D' Driver's License
- Own a reliable vehicle
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Carry automobile insurance in the employee's name with necessary insurance
- Availability for 24/7 on-call crisis support on a rotating schedule
- Must not be currently receiving or have received services from Guild within the last two years
- Must be ambulatory and able to negotiate stairways
- The ability to lift and carry heavy weights that could be up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working with Adolescents or individuals with SPMI in a community-based or ACT setting and some leadership experience
