Job Summary
Prepare solicitation and award packages, manage pre-award and post-award acquisition functions, and integrate technical personnel with procurement staff. Analyze functional and quality requirements to identify trends, overlaps, and deficiencies while supporting requirements development, acquisition planning, cost estimating, and technical evaluation criteria. Maintain contract records documenting performance and compliance, conduct market research for commercial items, and interface with customers for daily progress reporting. Requires 5-10 years of federal government acquisition experience, a BA/BS degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years performing life cycle acquisition support activities in a federal government environment
- BA/BS degree in a related discipline
- Experience developing solicitation packages including Acquisition Strategies and Plans, Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, Source Selection Plans, Instructions to Offerors, Evaluation Criteria, and related acquisition package documents
- Experience involving acquisition and procurement or program management
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related laws, regulations, initiatives, programs and procedures as well as various government contract types
- Exposure to finance, procurement, acquisition, purchasing, and operations business processes
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- DHS/DoD acquisition preferred
- Contracts management certification desired (e.g. NMCA CPCM, CFCM)
