Job Summary
Conduct systems engineering, avionics, and electrical engineering for aircraft subsystems, including definition, development, integration, verification, and airworthiness certification. Manage manufacturing quality assurance, defect prevention strategies, and reliability maintainability processes while supporting systems security, safety, and software assurance tasks. Assist in program milestone reviews, test planning, and certification accreditation packages across hardware and software systems. Maintain critical safety item lists and monitor airworthiness certification for aircraft. This role supports the development and sustainment of existing and future Air Force and joint service weapon systems. Candidates must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and possess 10-15+ years of functional area experience.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10-15+ years' functional area experience
- Independently demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Skype/Lync), Adobe Acrobat, and applications for access to the world wide web including Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level
- US Citizenship
