Job Summary
Acoustics Project Engineer to join the Acoustics, Noise and Vibration team. You will solve challenging acoustic, noise, and vibration problems for local and international clients, plan and perform data collection, modeling, field measurements, and technical analysis; prepare clear technical reports with methodology, findings, and recommendations; support project pursuits through proposal writing and client materials; collaborate across disciplines and mentor junior staff. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science and 5+ years of experience in acoustics, with proficiency in sound and vibration measurement instrumentation and modeling software (e.g., CadnaA, ODEON, STAMSON). Strong knowledge of physical acoustics, regulatory codes, standards, and permitting requirements, and experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and client teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (advanced degree preferred)
- 5+ years of professional experience in acoustics, noise, and vibration control
- Demonstrated expertise using sound and vibration measurement instrumentation and industry modeling software (e.g., CadnaA, ODEON, STAMSON, or equivalent)
- Strong command of physical acoustics, vibration theory, and applicable regulatory codes, standards, and permitting requirements
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical analysis and documentation while managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies, interpreting mechanical/electrical/process drawings, and mentoring junior technical staff
