Job Summary
Conduct environmental acoustics and vibration investigations, including noise and vibration impact assessments, monitoring, site inspections, and mitigation management. Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver acoustic consultancy services for complex national projects, utilizing specialized software for noise predictions and data analysis. Prepare technical reports, lead small projects, and manage scope across varying project sizes while applying Australian standards and legislation. Begin building relationships with internal and external clients to support winning proposals and deliver cost-effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent
- Full Australian driving license
- 5 - 8 years of experience in Acoustics, Noise and/or Vibration within a consultancy environment
- Demonstrated technical skills across a broad range of disciplines within Australia or New Zealand is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Australian acoustic standards and guidelines
- Experience in the use of various Acoustics software (SoundPlan, CadnaA or equivalent)
- Proficiency with mapping software (QGIS, AutoCad or equivalent)
- Ability to prepare technical reports on small to medium projects
- Experience leading small projects within the discipline
- Ability to write winning proposals and support the group in winning job from a job
- Developing capacity to deliver best client outcomes & options which have saved the client cost & time
- Experience in applying legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications
- Skilled in identify risk in small to medium profile projects
- Confident in sharing professional knowledge to coach and develop the technical capability of junior staff
Desired Qualifications
- Industry registration such as RPEQ and RPEV is desirable
