Job Summary
As a Ceiling Installer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining ceilings in various settings. Key responsibilities include installing suspended and acoustic ceilings, measuring and cutting materials, mounting ceiling panels, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Applicants should have experience in ceiling installation, proficiency with tools, and strong attention to detail. The job requires physical stamina and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push-pull a minimum of 100 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts throughout the day
- Must be able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, and knees to complete installation
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- The position requires a drug test and physical to be completed, contingent upon employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a Ceiling Installer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of different types of ceilings, installation techniques, and materials
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications related to ceiling installations
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the job
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces
