Job Summary
Join AFRY as an Acoustic Modelling & Simulation Engineer contributing to environmental, building and architectural acoustics projects in Switzerland and Central Europe. You will develop and manage 3D acoustic models, perform simulations using CadnaA, SoundPLAN and Odeon, contribute to technical analyses and design decisions, prepare technical outputs and documentation for client deliverables, and collaborate with an international acoustic team. The role offers hybrid working with offices in Kraków, Poznań or Łódź (Poland) or Bellinzona (Switzerland), and may evolve toward independent project responsibility based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Acoustics, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Architecture / Building Physics, or a comparable technical field
- Proven experience with 3D acoustic modelling and simulation software
- Practical knowledge of CadnaA and/or SoundPLAN
- Practical knowledge of Odeon
- Experience with room acoustic simulations and detailed acoustic consultancy
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site layouts and 3D input data
- Solid understanding of acoustic principles applied to environmental noise, building acoustics and room acoustics
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good written and spoken English, B2 level or higher
