Job Summary
Senior Buyer at KRONOS Canada Inc. in Varennes (Quebec) responsible for the procurement of all supplies and services for the Varennes plant, leading negotiations and ensuring follow-up with major suppliers from initial contact through to contract closure following KRONOS acceptance. Duties include preparing tender documents and issuing them to bidders; developing negotiation strategies and negotiating with suppliers; preparing and reviewing purchase orders and following up on monthly reports; identifying new suppliers and managing relationships between KRONOS and its suppliers; maintaining information in the SAP system; participating in process improvements; evaluating supplier performance in collaboration with involved departments; managing the full supplier complaint process; contributing to engineering specifications and recommendations; coordinating QA/QC activities for contracts; and ensuring logistics for delivery of goods (Incoterms, storage, transportation). The role requires a DEC/diploma or relevant procurement education, extensive procurement experience, bilingual communication, SAP proficiency, and strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- DEC in Administration or a diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Procurement, or completion of the following four courses: Procurement, Logistics, Transportation, and Operations Management
- 10 years of experience in procurement
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
