Job Summary
Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at Methodist Health System in Dallas, TX. Responsible for oversight and coordination of an ACGME-accredited 5-year surgical residency program with 3 categorical residents per year and 3 preliminary intern positions, reporting to the VP of Graduate Medical Education. The role involves coordinating educational, operational, and administrative functions; maintaining accreditation; overseeing faculty recruitment, evaluation, and supervision of residents; advancing scholarly activity and continuous quality improvement in education and clinical care; and fostering an academic environment for residents and faculty. Requires Board Certification in General Surgery and at least 5 years of teaching/educational leadership experience, with strong communication and team-oriented collaboration across departments.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience
- General Surgery Residency teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience
