Job Summary
Deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth for Pre-K students, accelerating achievement through differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and data-driven assessment. Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and assessment data; monitor and proctor standardized tests; establish effective classroom management, safety, and inclusive learning environments. Engage families and the community, participate in school events, and collaborate with peers on curriculum development and professional growth. Supervise aides and volunteers, and refer students for evaluation when needed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and Texas Teacher Certificate with two years of certified teaching experience; bilingual abilities are beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Certification: Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area required
- Two years of certified teaching experience required
- Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred
- Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings
