Accuracy Control Specialist

Job Summary
Check critical measurements throughout vessel construction, including panel-line fabrication and unit-block erection, ensuring as-designed geometry and maintaining dimensional control. Serve as liaison between production and Engineering; read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings; operate electronic/laser measuring equipment and use AutoCAD; maintain accuracy across measurements and jig construction; adapt to flexible hours and support yard projects as required.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years shipyard experience
- Experience in the use of electronic and laser measuring equipment
- Knowledge of ship terminology and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction and shop drawings
- Ability to perform measurements and maintain dimensional control
- Strong math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and employees
- Integrity, attention to detail, and safety consciousness
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
