Job Summary
Conduct direct service in an Intensive GLE residential setting, assisting Persons Served in overcoming barriers to independent living and preparing them for community reintegration. Implement treatment plan interventions, administer medications per MAP policies, and provide crisis interventions when necessary. Liaise with families, facilitate weekly group meetings including menu input, and perform primary grocery shopping for the residence. Support PS with meal preparation, physical site maintenance, and medical appointments while ensuring a safe, clean environment. Assume administrative roles as Medication, Safety, and Human Rights Officers as assigned by the Program Director. Complete required documentation, participate in supervision and staff meetings, and contribute to quality improvement goals. Maintain a valid driver's license and possess CPR and First Aid certifications within two weeks of hire.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- At least 21 years of age
- Maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months
- Ability to pass a driver's screening background check
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- MAP certification
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a human service discipline
- One year experience as a residential counselor
- Related experience in a setting working with PS facing mental health challenges and medical issues
- One to two years of job-specific experience in human services field
- Bilingual/bicultural applicants
- Applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions
