Job Summary
Prepare statutory accounts, assist with management accounts production, and handle personal, corporate, and VAT tax returns. Perform general bookkeeping duties using Xero or QuickBooks while coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees. This general practice role in Wokingham offers significant autonomy, study support, and a modern approach to technology for qualified or experienced accountants.
Required Qualifications
- You will be studying your ACCA / ACA or be qualified, or qualified by experience
- You will have substantial experience within a UK accountancy practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff
