Job Summary

Manage end-to-end accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, and industry-specific financial standards while preparing management reports and performance dashboards for stakeholders and auditors. Lead reconciliation of complex revenue streams from streaming, live events, sync licensing, and merchandise sales, and collaborate with legal and tax teams on royalty and licensing fee treatment. Provide advisory support on financial planning, budgeting, and cost control, and mentor junior team members to enhance operational efficiency. Support internal and external audits and monitor contract terms across artist and label portfolios. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications, and proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage. Salary is £30,000–£35,000; no sponsorship available.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification in progress or fully qualified
  • Professional accounting experience
  • Experience in the music, entertainment, or creative industries
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, compliance, and audit support in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of royalty accounting, revenue recognition and contract compliance in creative sectors
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience working with international clients, multi-currency transactions and cross-border financial reporting
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR anti-money laundering (AML) and data protection in financial services
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
