Accounts Receivables (AR) Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day AR operations, including invoicing, collections, customer account maintenance, and accurate transaction coding per company policies and IFRS standards. Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, maintain the AR ledger with aging analysis, and reconcile transactions while ensuring proper documentation. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare ECL provisions, and generate AR aging reports to recommend collection strategies. Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Treasury to forecast cash flow and resolve billing issues, while mentoring junior staff and supporting internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting role
- SOCPA certification
- Strong knowledge of AR processes, revenue recognition, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems (ZOHO Books, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with VAT return
- Familiarity with ZOHO Books or similar financial software
- Knowledge of credit management, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
