Job Summary
Oversee direct staff supervision of efficient Accounts Receivable processing for assigned functions, including pre-billing review, billing, follow-up, cash posting, and reconciliation of charges and payments for third-party payers. Manage private pay and third-party collections efforts, propose corrective actions for discrepancies, and ensure accurate monthly resident billing. Analyze and reconcile accounts receivable data, prepare weekly and quarterly reporting including denial and aging reports, and resolve bank reconciliation variances. Review and enhance billing and collection processes for efficiency. Requires 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle or accounting, with a preferred Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist credential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in accounts receivable, healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare finance, general accounting, or other related experience
- In lieu of a degree, 3 additional years of related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare supervisor and/or healthcare training experience
- Current Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS-I) from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM)
- Experience with billing and collections for skilled nursing facilities, Certified Home Health, Hospice, Rehabilitation, and other Outpatient Services, EMS services
- Advanced knowledge of billing edits and claims clearinghouse system
