Job Summary
Maintain business processes and accounting policies to preserve internal controls while gathering, filing, and tracking billing information for clients. Coordinate subcontractor billings by reviewing validity and entering balanced data into accounting software monthly. Monitor weekly incoming cash flow, select vendor payments to ensure timely collections, and resolve sub/vendor disputes. Prepare and post customer payments, create invoices, and maintain updated customer files including address changes. Draft correspondence for past-due accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and research discrepancies with staff. Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to reconcile accounts receivable weekly. This role supports the construction industry's billing lifecycle at Royal Electric Company, offering competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of prior accounting experience
- Analytical problem solving
- Data Entry
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong background with use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and other associated software
- Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles
- Must be able to work in Sacramento, California OR Dallas, Texas
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify)
- Drug free workplace requirement
